I know we have been talking about Bible Education for some time now. I was hoping that we could re-dream it a little. I would love to see more children/families involved in this ministry.
One idea our leadership team had was to have a half day camp maybe 4 times year. This could be a time when children are learning how to use their Bibles and how to memorize scripture. I know it will be a little more difficult to actually memorize a number of scriptures in half a day so of course these concepts will need to be revisited at home.
The reason we were thinking about something quarterly was because we think parents are afraid to commit to an every week schedule.
So, I would love to hear your thoughts on this...
[/font][li] Do you like the idea of a half day camp? [/li]
[li] What are the pro/cons?[/li]
[li] Do you have other ideas (besides a half day camp) on how to involve more children/families in this type of ministry?
[/li][/ul] Let's get an idea of how frequently we think we need to meet rather it's keep it weekly on Sundays or move to monthly or quarterly and from there we can decide what concepts we want to focus on.
Let me hear from you...
